Congrats General McMurry!

Air Force Life Cycle Management Center will get a new three-star general commander, the current commander of Air Force Research Laboratory.

The Department of Defense announced Friday that Maj. Gen. Robert McMurryJr. has been nominated for promotion to Lieutenant General and given command of Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. This comes as Lt. Gen.John Thompson, the center’s current commander, takes a new assignment. McMurry took command of AFRL at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base just four months ago.

Thompson has been named the new commander of Space and Missile Systems Center, part of Air Force Space Command, based at Los Angeles Air Force Base in California, DoD announced. Thompson has been commander of the center since October 2014, having worked his way up through the organization since arriving in Dayton in 2012, and has more than 30 years experience in the Air Force.
