Contract Vehicles

DEC is pleased to be awarded the the Air Force Research Laboratory Omni-Sentinel Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for developing, testing and demonstrating advanced sensor systems, subsystems and components. The contract has a $24M ceiling with period of performance through 2017. Specific research areas in the contract scope are:

Analyze current and future sensors with respect to system, subsystem, component, and software requirements, and capabilities to maximize the effectiveness of current research activities.

Develop models and simulations of current and future sensors using scientific software packages, such as MATLAB/SIMULINK.

Design and fabricate sensor system prototypes including specialized test and calibration equipment.

Conduct system/subsystem performance testing of sensor hardware and software, which could be developed internally, developed under an Air Force contract or be acquired by third parties. This includes but is not limited to: sensor characterization and calibration, assessment and optimization of discrimination algorithms, and development and evaluation of real-time or off-line signal/data processing.

Develop hardware and software to stimulate sensor performance in a laboratory system testbed, to control test equipment and the unit under test, and to acquire data from the unit under test.

Conduct appropriate flight/tower/laboratory tests to collect data to demonstrate sensor system performance and/or mature sensor processing hardware/software/firmware.

Small Business Activities

DEC is an active participant in the DoD Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR). DEC has extensive experience in transitioning SBIR technologies to the DoD acquisition community through the large business mentor model.
